Grant Recipients
On June 3, Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee awarded 27 area organizations $244,942 in grants for this year’s Trinity Health Foundation Phase I awards. These grants will be used to plan community health-related projects that will compete for Phase II implementation grants later this year. Close to 70 proposals were received from regional nonprofits and ranked by the Trinity board on impact and merit. Issues addressed include community partnerships to address behavioral and mental health, wellness, and addiction; youth initiatives on mental health, addiction, ACEs, housing access; access to care for vulnerable populations; serving the servants; and open topics. These groups will use the Phase I funding to research and plan project operations and sustainability, culminating in a proposal that includes funding for Phase II implementation.
