Trinity Announces 2026 Phase I Winners

On June 3, 2026, Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee awarded twenty-seven area organizations $244,942 in grants for this year’s Trinity Health Foundation Phase I awards. These grants will be used to plan community health-related projects that will compete for Phase II implementation grants later this year. Sixty-seven proposals were received from regional nonprofits and ranked by the Trinity board on impact and merit. Issues addressed include community partnerships to address behavioral and mental health, wellness & addiction; youth health initiative – mental health/addiction/ACEs; access to housing; access to care for vulnerable populations; serving the servants; and open topics. These groups will use the Phase I funding to research and plan the operational and sustainability details of the project, culminating in a proposal for consideration for Phase II implementation funds.

This year, grants for large and small organizations are being awarded. Thirteen Phase I large grants and fourteen small grants will go to nonprofits across the community. This year’s recipients and their projects include:
