FOCUS Leadership Initiative: Turning FOCUS Graduates into Leaders
FOCUS empowers women to break the generational cycles of addiction and incarceration so they can walk in the true freedom of Christ. Because incarceration is a symptom of underlying issues, FOCUS addresses the root causes of these cycles through strategic programming inside correctional facilities and comprehensive support upon release. The FOCUS Reentry Program assists women reintegrating into the community after incarceration. Participants live in Christ-centered therapeutic homes and receive supportive services that address mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Most graduates go on to make meaningful contributions to their families and community. Reentry Program graduates often struggle with continued personal development and community connection as they prepare for life after the program. Additionally, these graduates consistently express a desire to help other women. FOCUS has discovered that a possible solution to meet the needs of Reentry Program graduates may also be the answer to support for newly released ladies who do not live in a FOCUS home.
