Biography
Anne Sprouse is a native of Knoxville, having graduated from Webb School, The University of Tennessee, and The Clinical Pastoral Education Chaplaincy Training Program at UT Medical Center. Anne retired this past year, having served 19 years as a staff Chaplain at UTMCK. She enjoys three sons, three daughters-in-law, and five grandsons. She loves all sports, especially UT football and basketball, golf, hiking, and anything competitive. In her early years, she worked as a teacher in the Knox County Head Start Program, enjoyed time at home with three young sons, and became a community volunteer. She has served on the Boards of St. John’s Cathedral, East Tennessee Foundation, Metropolitan Drug Commission, Junior League of Knoxville, Leadership Knoxville, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Helen Ross McNabb, the Cancer Support Community (formerly The Wellness Community), and The Pat Summitt Foundation. Anne currently serves on the board of the Episcopal School of Knoxville. She is a lifelong member of St. John’s Cathedral, serving in various leadership roles. In addition, she serves as a Lay Reader and Chalice Bearer.
