Well-Being Initiative for Healthcare Workforce
The McNabb Center will conduct research, gather data, and consult with frontline staff and leaders to identify evidence-based innovations to improve our healthcare workforce’s well-being. Their goal is to alleviate their employees’ stress, mental health issues, and burnout while fostering work wellness and resilience. Currently, approximately half of their workforce has a mental health diagnosis. They have a vacancy rate of 20% and an annualized turnover of 30%. These challenges underscore the critical need for intervention. The McNabb Center aims to implement a targeted tool or intervention to address the specific needs of their workforce and promote resilience, thereby reducing turnover rates and vacancies and improving the mental health status of healthcare workers. The pressing challenges faced by frontline healthcare workers, including staffing shortages, higher caseloads, and detrimental triggers to their mental health, necessitate urgent action.
