Equipping the Church and Young Leaders
CITC aims to expand its existing program, “Equipping the Church and Young Leaders,” across 24 churches in its service area. This expansion includes providing “Bridges out of Poverty” training to empower church leaders and members to better serve our communities. Additionally, CITC will enhance programming for emerging leaders by improving our staff training and Junior Counselor programs.
Lay and Clergy leaders in each of their partnering churches often desire to empower, encourage, and build relationships with community members but lack the hard skills to do the necessary work. This project will help them evaluate data to understand their communities better, develop equitable relationships with their neighbors, and seek to provide resources and education to uplift the whole community.
