Crossroads Center of Hope

Crossroads Program for At-Risk Mothers

The problem addressed is the absence of transitional housing in Anderson County for at-risk mothers with their young children. Long-term transitional housing does not exist in Anderson County. The six apartments at Crossroads will allow six mothers a more permanent address to become employed or become students to receive a degree or certification in a specialized field. The target audience or demographic would be the at-risk mothers trying to escape from domestic violence, those forced out of their homes due to unplanned pregnancy, and homeless mothers living in unhealthy situations. The geographic service area will be limited to those in Anderson County since transitional housing exists for this purpose in nearby counties.
