Increasing School Nurses'Access to Real-Time Clinical Data to Improve Delivery of Student Healthcare
Regular medical care is often not an option for school-age children. Many face significant barriers to regular medical care due to financial constraints, lack of health insurance, parental work schedules, and transportation challenges. As a result, school nurses often serve as the primary healthcare providers for many children, yet they lack access to real-time clinical data necessary for delivering comprehensive care.
This initiative will enhance the quality of care provided to children who might otherwise lack adequate healthcare by equipping school nurses with real-time medical information. This access will improve treatment outcomes, promote better student health, and support overall well-being, addressing a critical gap in healthcare delivery within our schools for one of our most vulnerable populations.
