One Knoxville Collective
East Knoxville Soccer Club
Children in East Knoxville face significant barriers due to poverty, lack of resources, and limited community programs. Many, particularly from refugee and immigrant backgrounds, struggle academically and socially, increasing their risk of absenteeism, disciplinary issues, and exposure to violence.
The East Knoxville Soccer Club (EKSC) will provide a free after-school soccer program at Vine Middle School, one of Tennessee’s most underfunded schools. More than just sports, EKSC integrates soccer with academic and language support, trauma-informed care, STEM education, and community service. This holistic approach offers students a safe, structured environment to thrive.
