Serving Our Servants (SOS)
Upsilon Chi’s project will address the need for support, recruitment, retention, and education for healthcare workers. Nurses and other healthcare workers were at the forefront of the pandemic, demonstrating resilience, compassion, and dedication despite unprecedented challenges. Most people saw the crucial role of nurses during a crisis as they gave COVID-19 vaccines and cared for sick and dying people. The struggles and challenges these committed healthcare workers endured brought the need for self-care, support, and elevating the profession to the forefront. This project will show appreciation and support while addressing burnout, mental and physical stress, financial concerns, and other issues that nurses and other health workers face. Healthier nurses and healthcare workers who care for themselves can better serve their clients and community.
