Connie Hutchins

Connie Henderson Hutchins is a native of Knoxville, attended Hollins College, and graduated from the University of Tennessee. In 1985, she started the residential design firm, Temptations Inc., where she served as both president and interior designer. Before retiring, Connie worked closely with her husband, Ron, who also graduated from the University of Tennessee in the School of Architecture. They have one son, Blair, and daughter-in-law, Jayne, and a granddaughter.

Having served the nonprofit community in many leadership roles throughout her life, Connie was acutely aware of the need for methods to build better performing teams. While serving as president of the Knoxville Junior League, she became a part of a Leadership Knoxville class that was offered the opportunity to study ways to facilitate groups into more effective organizations. She has been a part of the Leadership Knoxville Facilitation Committee since its inception, has pursued additional training, and has used her skills to help many nonprofit and professional organizations improve their efficiency and success, as well as, to create a more pleasant working environment for their teams.

Having served in leadership roles on many diverse regional boards, from social services to art galleries, and the founding of the Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee, Connie is proud to continue to work with organizations that serve to improve our wonderful East Tennessee community.
