Trinity Health Foundation of East Tennessee began ten years ago to extend the healing ministry of Jesus to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our community.  We have stewarded resources donated by a generation of givers that supported our predecessor organizations: the Mercy Health Partners Foundation, St. Mary’s Health System, and the Baptist Health System of East Tennessee.  Trinity has now granted over $10 million to over 80 different organizations serving diverse health needs in our region.

We have sought to be a catalyst for new and needed area initiatives by funding projects and service partnerships that would become sustainable after our initial “seed funding” round.  The results have been varied, impactful, and lasting.  Some of these projects have included: a soccer complex providing inner-city youth the opportunity to compete, telepsychiatry systems for outer-county youth evaluations, dental clinics in rural locations, homes for veterans, long-term respite care for the homeless, and scores of other projects that remain in effect today. Trinity has had the privilege of supporting a broad range of nonprofit organizations serving the great folks of East Tennessee.

As we celebrate ten years of granting to the 501(c)(3) organizations in our region, we will continue to highlight and promote the myriad of positive service efforts in our community through Trinity’s Good Knox Network.  We hope this reporting and social networking effort will bring attention and additional support to the many tireless helping hands in our community. What a blessing it is for Trinity to encourage the organizations that help so many in our region!

To your good health!
